Hosseini Infants Ceremonies to be held in Iran, 45 Countries

The World Conference of Hosseini Infants is set to be held on the first Friday of Muharram Month in more than 9,000 locations in Iran and 45 countries around the world on July 26, 2025.

The annual meeting of the organizers of the World Conference of Hosseini Infants was held on Thursday with the widespread participation of more than 800 provincial officials from all over Iran.

This meeting was held with the aim of enhancing synergy, exchanging experiences, and strengthening the intellectual and executive foundations of the largest community of mothers and their infants in the world, and to consolidate and improve the quality of the implementation of this global movement in Iran and 45 other countries; a movement that brings together millions of mothers and children in the name of Hazrat Ali Asghar (PBUH) on the first Friday of Muharram Month every year to convey the message of the oppression of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) to the world through the language of this infant martyr.

Redefining the Role of Women in the Global Discourse of Hazrat Ali Asghar

Davoud Manafipour, Secretary of the Global Assembly of Hazrat Ali Asghar (PBUH), highlighted the pivotal position of mothers in the formation of this global movement at this meeting held near the Razavi Shrine, and noted,” The Hussaini Infants’ Conference is not just a ritual, rather a civilizational movement that redefines Muslim women as cultural, social, and historical players.”

Referring to the decisive role of mothers in the globalization process of this movement, he added,” If more attention was paid to the position of women as divine beings, the cultural and social conditions would not be like this today.”

Ali Asghar is the minor son of Imam Hossein (PBUH) and his wife, Lady Rubab (PBUH). Mothers gather at the event and bring their infants to show sympathy for Lady Rubab.

The event is annually held in a number of countries, including Iran, India, Pakistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Afghanistan.

The conference has been held since 1982, and in the first year, only one event was held in Mahdieh, Tehran.
