Hujjat al-Islam Abbasali Babagolzadeh, Head of the General Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Qom Province, in a meeting with Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Abolhasan Nawab, Founder of the University of Religions and Denominations, referred to the spiritual atmosphere of Qom province and assessed the presence of tourists in this city as crucial for the development of the tourism industry, saying,” Many international tourists are interested in visiting the historical monuments of Qom to become familiar with the ancient culture and history of this city.”
The Head of the General Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Qom Province continued,” The tourist attractions of Qom province must be introduced in a proper manner, and in this regard, we need the cooperation of all scientific and cultural groups in the province.”
He added,” The General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Tourism of Qom Province has trained experts by holding various scientific and specialized courses who, with their proficiency in international languages, can explain the religious and historical culture of Qom to international tourists.”
Hujjat al-Islam Abbasali Babagolzadeh also pointed out the great capacity of the University of Religions and Denominations and the presence of many scientific and cultural figures from other countries at this university, saying,” Various delegations from all over the world come to Qom to establish scientific and cultural relations with the University of Religions and Denominations, and we are truly interested in being able to organize various programs in the form of Qom studies for these delegations in cooperation with the University of Religions and Denominations.”
The Director General of Cultural Heritage and Tourism of Qom Province considered the establishment of the International Museum of Religions and Denominations in Qom to be crucial and added, “Qom is the heart of the Shiite world, and Shiism has always been a symbol of tolerance and dialogue, and for this purpose, a place must be dedicated to present this culture to the world. The best title for this place in the holy city of Qom is the International Museum of Religions and Denominations. I hope that we will achieve this goal with the cooperation and participation of the University of Religions.”
