Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, in a meeting with a group of Indonesian scholars who participated in the conference on the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Qom Seminary, referred to the history and extension of the seminaries and stated,” In more than 100 countries around the world, young people interested in divine knowledge have become pioneers, using the knowledge they have learned in the Qom Seminary, have established centers for Islamic and human sciences in different countries.”
The Head of Islamic seminaries further noted,” Following the Islamic Revolution, all the gates of Islamic sciences were opened to women, and today, the seminary for women has become a large center for the development of Islamic, humanistic, and moral sciences.”
Ayatollah Arafi stated,” Today, nearly 500 women’s seminaries are active in Qom and throughout Iran, and these centers have also been established abroad, which is a phenomenon that emerged from the Qom Seminary.”
The Head of seminaries emphasized that another issue is the international extension of the Qom Seminary. “This seminary has spread the Islamic sciences around the world and is present in different countries.”
Ayatollah Arafi stated,” The international conference on the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Qom Seminary began a few years ago, but the secretariat decided to hold the closing ceremony of the conference this year in order to complete the work the works.”
