Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Ali Najafi, son of Grand Ayatollah Hafez Bashir Hussein Najafi and Head of his central office, had an interview with Hawzah News correspondent on the sidelines of the international conference on the 100th anniversary of the re -establishment of the Qom Seminary, saying, “Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Qom Seminary is a source of pride and honor. This scientific institution, which is located next to the Holy shrine of Hazrat Fatima Masoumeh (PBUH), has continued on its path with dignity and stability for a century, thanks to the perseverance of great scholars, the sacrifice of students, and the sincere support of believers.”
He added,” The Qom Seminary not only remained steadfast against the storms of events, but by the grace of God, it has always walked the path of excellence and growth and has played an influential and decisive role in spreading the teachings of the religion of Islam.”
The Iraqi cleric further said that seminaries of Najaf, Karbala, Hilla, Baghdad, the Levant, and the Indian subcontinent all have a brilliant history and a significant contribution to the history of science and religion. “Today, the Qom Seminary, by the grace of God and the efforts of scholars, is known as a beacon in the Islamic world. Our presence in this holy place is a sign of the depth of communication and mutual respect between scholars and believers, as well as appreciation for their scientific and religious efforts.” He added.
In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Ali Najafi emphasized,” Each school of thought, in accordance with the conditions of the times and the developments of the day, has its own understanding and interpretation of events. With the passage of time and the expansion of scientific capabilities and research tools, changes in theoretical discussions and presentation methods are natural, and promising; a sign of the dynamism and growth of the seminary in fulfilling its divine missions.”
