The Honorable Archbishop of Delhi
With the utmost regret and sorrow, I offer my condolences to Your Excellency on the passing of Pope Francis, the leader of the Roman Catholic Church.
Pope Francis will remain in our hearts forever with his outstanding and humanitarian services, especially in supporting the poor and the disadvantaged. He was not only a religious leader, but also a symbol of interfaith dialogue, peaceful coexistence, and a messenger of peace and empathy at the global level; his status and respect went beyond the borders of the Catholic community.
At this sad moment, I express my sincere condolences to the global Catholic community.
I ask the Almighty God to grant the soul of the deceased eternal peace and grant patience and forbearance to his grieving followers.
With the utmost respect and devotion
